Unlicensed Agents:
In order to sell Life Insurance, you must obtain a resident or non-resident license for the state you wish to conduct business in. A resident license is designed to license an agent in the state that he/she resides in. A non-resident license is designed to license an agent in a state that he/she does not reside in.
To obtain all the necessary forms, state requirements, and fee schedules for the state you wish to be licensed in, visit

Once you're at the site, click on "State Web Sites" and a map will appear. Choose the state in which you wish to obtain your license.
